Heymer, Dr. Yujie Dong, Angie Howard & Derry BigbyThe Center arranged for the director of China's Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) Program to brief staff at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) on the progress of this first-of-its-kind research reactors. The representative from China also briefed the U.S. Department of Energy on the progress of the PBMR project.
Dr. Yujie Dong, DirectorHigh Temperature Reactor (HTR) General Design Division, Institute of Nuclear & New Energy Technology (INET) at Tsinghua University briefed Angie Howard and Adrian P. Heymar on the PBMR operations on May 9, 2007. The meeting at NEI was attended by Center President Norris McDonald and Center Vice President Derry Bigby.
