EPA Hearings Carbon Pollution Standards for New Power Plants

Comment Period Extension 

EPA will hold two public hearings on the proposed Carbon Pollution Standard for New Power Plants. The hearings will be May 24, 2012 in Washington DC and Chicago. EPA is also extending the comment period on this proposed rule by 30 days, until June 25, 2012, to give the public ample time to comment after the public hearing.

Background

Such public hearing will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 4:30 p.m. (local time). The public may preregister to speak at the hearings at a specific time. People also may register in person on the day of the hearing, and will be accommodated as time allows.
